The name Swallowtail Speech and Language Therapy encompasses the truly beautiful and transformative nature of the therapeutic alliance between families and clinicians. Swallowtail butterflies symbolize transformation, change, hope, and endurance. Swallowtails are also very near and dear to our Founder, Dr. Wooten because hundreds flock to her garden in the summer. Butterflies represent diversity in the natural world, and further signify one of our founding principles: neurodiversity is natural, and our goal is to support each patient and their family with their unique communication needs.
